Violence & War

A defining statement from Amnesty International:
Violence against women is a violation of human rights that cannot be justified by any political, religious or cultural claim. A global culture of discrimination against women allows violence to occur daily and with impunity. Amnesty International calls on you to help us eradicate violence against women and help women achieve lives of equality and human dignity.

punch up Amnesty International to get their word for it. Also, they will send you a nifty copy of the UN Declaration in your language.
While you are at it, you might ask why the USA ignored 75,000 war criminals that had murdered maimed and tortured 300,000 fellow citizens in Iraq. As Malcom X used to say, "What goes around comes around."
